Physical Therapy is a branch of preventive and rehabilitative health. Physical therapists are licensed health professionals that employ exercises and/or stretches as well as use hands-on treatment and/or equipment. These techniques are used to help patients alleviate pain, recover from injury/surgery, and improve their overall physical abilities.
Good question! A physical therapist is a licensed health professional. (They are often referred to as PTs.) They evaluate, diagnose, and then provide treatment to help patients prevent and recover from pain, injury, surgery, and manage symptoms that may interfere with everyday movements.
Absolutely! We’re here to get you feeling better, whether you’re in your local ATI clinic or in your own home. Our telehealth platform, CONNECT, is online physical therapy treatment that provides you with high-level PT service in the comfort, convenience and safety of your home.
It depends – during your initial appointment, your physical therapist will have a conversation with you about what it is you are experiencing. After your discussion, they will do an assessment to determine what kind of care is appropriate for you. Every plan is individualized, and our PTs will take the time and effort to make sure you thoroughly understand what to expect throughout your treatment.
After your initial discussion and assessment with your physical therapist, they will develop an individualized treatment plan for you. The duration and length of your plan is determined by your symptoms and by your immediate and long-term goals.
We understand why you would ask this question: physical therapy seems like it is something you do after you have been injured badly or have had surgery. But, physical therapy can be used as both a preventative and rehabilitative measure to keep you pain-free and moving well. Here are some of the benefits of physical therapy and our top reasons why you should try PT: It can reduce and/or eliminate pain, It can help you avoid surgery altogether,It can improve your mobility and help you move more freely,It can aid recovery from injury, stroke, poor coordination/balance, and help manage other issues, such as heart/lung disease, women’s pelvic health, arthritis and so on.

Friendly and professional. I haven’t been disappointed in my results at any time during or after my prior 4 orthopedic surgeries in the last 10 years. I highly recommend ATI at Grant & Roosevelt Blvd. Philadelphia.

This was my first time I ever had physical therapy and Mike my therapist was great. Very knowledgeable, professional and friendly and the exercises he gave me to do really helped. The office staff are very courteous. Overall a very positive experience at the ATI Northeast location and I would highly recommend them.

ATI Grant Avenue provided me the best care and customer service experience anyone could possibly get. , The staff is friendly, fantastic and fabulous. I felt comfortable so I always left with a smile and looked forward to returning. Roya, Jackie, Amiee and Mike went the extra mile to provide a quality experience. Thank you all for great service.

Tim is my therapist. He's very nice and very understanding of the smallest pain I have. Gives me choices for my treatment. The girls at the desk and Tim have adjusted time for me especially when I get stuck in traffic. Place is busy. Need some kind of way to clean articles used between patients. I did not see them being cleaned. Many Item covers are old and falling apart.

The facility is nice and clean. Staffs are very equipped with the knowledge on helping clients with whatever physical or occupational therapy needed for them to become healthy again. Even if not a 100% but they would be better and able body's from when they first walked in.

In many places, the vibe alone can indicate a lot: whether the staff get along, whether the clientele is happy, whether you’ll be treated well. All of these factors signal whether a place is a good fit for you, and for something you’ll likely be doing regularly for a period, like PT, it should be a pleasant environment. ATI on Grant Ave. has been just that. The staff and patient dynamic is fun, warm and very comfortable; everyone gets along as though they were good friends. I’ve been treated by Hailey for stability issues that have caused a domino-effect of injuries in competitive sports. She is also the director of the centre, and I find her to be attentive, thoughtful, prudent, and knowledgeable. Hailey not only provides practical treatment, but also offers alternatives tailored to my changing needs. She is consistently attentive to my questions and open minded about switching gears if we find something isn’t working. So far, it’s been a pleasant place to be, and I’ve felt much improvement since starting there.

My first visit I definitely nervous because I’m recovering from a broken ankle, it was super easy setting an appointment and I got an appointment right away, they have late hours which is awesome because I work , I went in filled out my new patient paperwork and was seen quick and started my physical therapy. Michael is pretty young he said he was 25 I’m and I’m way older then him he was super sweet and took it easy on me because my nerves was all over the place, he asked questions and was willing to hear me out . Goes to show it does not matter your age you can be an experienced as some older folk, he’s awesome, the only downside is this location is super far .
