About

Chicago Spine and Sports is unlike any other chiropractic, pain management, or manual care center in or around Chicago, IL. We offer an evidence-based, integrated approach to our patients' care including treatments such as Active Release Techniques®, cupping therapy, Trigger Point Dry Needling, IASTM (Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization), personal training services, myofascial therapy, and the McKenzie method. We utilize symptom and movement-based classification systems to develop a unique and distinctive treatment program for each patient. While chiropractic adjustments are important, they are only one health care tool. Some patients need adjustments, others benefit from muscular manipulation and a majority of our patients require a combination of joint manipulation, muscular therapy, and rehabilitation techniques.

This place is amazing for athletes prone to injuries. I have had to get multiple dry-needling and cupping sessions done on my hips and shins and I have been able to successfully complete multiple marathons and races! I highly recommend Dr. Krebs and the wonderful team at Chicago Spine and Sports

I have seen Dr. Tom for a number of years now. Each injury I have, he dedicates the time and expertise to help problem solve my injury. You will not find a chiropractor or staff that cares more than here. Katherine goes above and beyond to help you with any questions you could possibly have. You will not be disappointed here; they will take care of you and go above and beyond to ensure your wellness.

Chicago Spine and Sports has the best staff. Everyone is incredibly friendly and they have been able to help me get back to working out and moving with less or no pain. Dr. Krefman is so easy to work with and will get you results.

Dr. Donahue and the whole staff are fantastic to work with . They got me some immediate relief after throwing out my back and in a week have helped me see great improvement. Great people to work with, professional but also very fun and friendly.

I started going here for my chronic back pain and I have seen such huge improvements! But the best part, as an athlete I continue to go for maintenance on my back, but also helps as any new injuries pop up as they always do. The Staff is kind, responsive, and they are always running on time which is always a plus when you have a tight and busy schedule

Best chiropractor I’ve ever had and have gone to 4 others who were really good but Dr. Donahue is next level and really shows he cares. The adjustments, stretches, and physical therapy exercises have really helped me shoulder and lower back pain. Also Katherine at the front desk is awesome super friendly and understanding. And Tristan is also really great with instructing me on the different types of exercises and making sure I’m in correct form. They are all vey kind, professional and personable.

I've tried a few chiropractors in the city before I went to Chicago Spine and Sports and they are hands down the best one I've been to! Dr. Krebs is always professional and personable and Katherine at the front desk always makes me feel welcome! My back is feeling great too.

Dr Thomas has been great. It helps that we have the same sport in common and similar build, but I don't think that those things are essential for treatment, just a nice coincidence. He's down to earth and down to business. Assessed my issue, got into it (dug into it is more like it,) and provided exercises that we did in the office that I can also do at home. Doing the exercises has helped my pain go from 8/10 to 0 or 1/10 and prevent exacerbations (and it's not a bad thing to be in better shape!) They did recommend a high frequency of appointments. I was at first skeptical, but now that I've done a few, I see the value and am glad that I've been coming in regularly (about every 5-7 days) and can see a time when it becomes every 2 weeks, and then maybe once a month or so. The administrator, Katherine, is also excellent. She's got a ton of spirit and energy as well as compassion. They are transparent with costs and do a great job with insurance. I also take my 14-y-o child to see Dr Krefman and that's been a good relationship, as well.

I was training for the London Marathon and was struggling to get through my long runs due to back and shoulder pain. Dr. Krebs was recommended to me, so I scheduled an appointment. He gave me honest advice, assured me it wasn't anything too serious and helped me get ready for my race (which I completed). In the midst of this, I developed knee pain as well and he was also able to treat that. Careful listener, in-office treatments are very effective and at home exercises helped. Having had a very poor experience with a chiro elsewhere (not here), I was initially unsure of what to expect, but I feel grateful that I found Chicago Spine and Sports. I highly recommend it - everyone is very nice, professional, personable and it's easy to get scheduled. Most of all, they know what they're doing and will help you with your issue(s). I will continue to go here for ongoing adjustments and needs.

If I could give a 10 stars I would! Dr. Donahue is first and foremost one of the nicest and most caring human being I’ve ever seen. He really listens and actually try to fix you. He always keeps trying new treatments with me (I have some issues that no doctor cared or spent enough time trying). On top of that, he is so knowledgeable, whether it’s chiropractic related or physical therapy related, he knows it all! I actually got answers from him about questions I’ve been asking for a long time. He is a Godsend!
